Kidder Music is always on the look out for talented employees wanting to work in the music products industry. With positions in retail and in-school sales, print music, instrumental repairs, and our business office, many skills and experiences are required to make our business thrive.
If you feel that your skills may be useful to us, send us a resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Kidder Music is looking for qualified private teachers. Right now we are looking for teachers with experience on Woodwind and Brass, especially Saxophone, Trombone, and Trumpet.
First, a little about us:
Kidder Music has been supporting music education in central Illinois since 1974. We offer private lessons on most band and orchestra instruments, as well as drum set, voice, piano and guitar. Our lesson studio is growing, and we are looking for additional teachers to meet a growing need for private instruction.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal instructor has college level education or professional experience on their instrument. Previous teaching experience is a preferred, but not required. Organization and communication skills are key for this position. With student schedules constantly changing, you’ll need to make sure you’re on the ball and prepared for each lesson. Technology skills are required – we communicate schedule changes primarily via email – so reliable access to the internet is a must. If you can also incorporate technology into your teaching, you’ll earn some bonus points! We currently have rooms available weekday evenings after 6PM and throughout the day on Saturday.
Why should YOU teach at Kidder?
Our teachers are employees, and our lesson coordinators manage all scheduling, promotion, billing, and collection of tuition. All you have to do is teach! In addition, you’ll be teaching alongside over 20 professionals in our private studio. Our studio space features 7 lesson rooms, a large rehearsal/recital space, a staff lounge and a dedicated waiting area. Free WIFI is available for teacher and student use. We also offer the following benefits:
What will my responsibilities be?
The basics are simple:
When it comes to how you teach, we try not to be overbearing, but we have two major requirements: you must teach music reading skills and use materials that Kidder Music is able to supply. We want our students to be able to do more than tab or learn by ear – it’ll take them further musically, even if they change instruments.
