Cave of the Winds was originally written by Robert Nathanial Dett as a march for piano and subtitled “March and Two Step”. Devon Morales arranged this boisterous, carnival romp with lightness and frivolity at a Level 3. Students will enjoy performing chromatic scales, hooked bows, and triplet 16th notes to create a playful rendition of a march which was said to have been admired by John Philip Sousa.
