Features:
Brent Wells's new a cappella setting of Were You There? draws inspiration from the historic 1924 solo arrangement by Harry T. Burleigh, reimagining it for 8-part choir with rich, idiomatic harmonies that honor the spiritual's deep emotional base. Created for the BYU choirs' performance at a global church broadcast, this setting offers a more expressive alternative to traditional hymn treatments. A powerful addition to any choral library.
