Teach Us Wisdom by Ken Medema and Cathy Chamblee pairs the text to Psalm 90:12 with the message of Senegalese forest scientist Baba Dioum, who reminds us that we only conserve what we love, we only love what we understand, and we only understand what we are taught. Featuring highly accessible voice leading and a meditative piano accompaniment, this S.A.T.B. piece can be learned in only one rehearsal. Teach Us Wisdom is well suited for church and collegiate choirs as well as high school and community choruses who desire to sing about wisdom, humility, and the call to care for our earth. It's the perfect choice for a worship service devotional or an Earth Day concert!
